DanceSyndrome is a multi-award winning inclusive dance charity

Established in 2009, DanceSyndrome is the inspiration of founder and Director, Jen Blackwell, an aspiring community dance leader, who happens to have Down’s syndrome.

DanceSyndrome believes that everyone has the right to follow their own interests and passions. Regardless of whether they have a disability or not. It exists to support Jen, and other dancers like her, who are learning disabled.

We strive to provide opportunities for people with disabilities to not only be included, but to become more visible citizens, have their voices heard on important issues, to follow their dreams and to succeed in their ambitions. Our work inspires and empowers both dancers and audiences to believe that opportunities are endless for people who refuse to be defined by disability.
