Pink Link Carlisle
Pink Link online networking in Carlisle and Penrith brings female entrepreneurs together from all business sectors. In the meetings, women share knowledge and experiences whilst building authentic and meaningful relationships that help them to grow their business. Many women find that female networking gives them confidence and is less stressful than mixed networking. It makes it easier to make contacts and build relationships with potential customers and suppliers.
The cathedral city of Carlisle is the county town of Cumbria. It is the furthermost city in North West England just 10 miles south of the Scottish border. With strategic rail, road, and air transportation links, Carlisle is a popular location for business. The city centre is mainly pedestrianised with the Lanes shopping centre being home to over 50 shops. Carlisle is also home to the Kingmoor Park Enterprise Zone; the only enterprise zone in Cumbria and one of the largest industrial estates in the region.
The market town of Penrith with it’s cobbled streets and great selection of independent shops, cafes and restaurants is a popular shopping hub. Located on the M6 corridor and with good rail links, Penrith is well positioned in the county for business. Easy access to the Lake District, the Pennines and the Eden Valley appeals to both residents and visitors alike.
Over the last few years, Cumbrian female entrepreneurs have been making their mark at the Enterprise Vision Awards. This network is hosted by Alison Magee-Barker, double award winner and a champion of female entrepreneurship in Cumbria.
