Amanda Green of Amanda Green Elemental Leadership is a longstanding member of Pink Link, during her years in business and when her corporate roles called for networking. She is the Member Host and runs the Lancaster and Kendal groups alongside her own business. She enjoys getting to know her members on a deeper level. She finds the meetings uplifting and loves the vibe in the room. She has had business from networking and also has introduced businesses into the Pink Link events.

WHY DID YOU JOIN PINK LINK?

I’ve been involved with Pink Link at different times, depending on the business I was working in or running. There were periods when my role didn’t require networking, but when I joined Pink Link, it stood out to me for its great value. What truly makes it special, though, is the people. I enjoy the connections, the meaningful conversations, and the positive atmosphere at the meetings.

For me, it’s all about building relationships—both with the wonderful people running the group and the connections I make at the monthly meetings. These relationships are what make Pink Link such a valuable community.

ARE YOU INVOLVED IN ANY OTHER NETWORKING GROUPS

I’ve tried a few different networks because I believe you have to experience them to know if they’re the right fit. I’m currently a member of a mixed networking group and was part of another until the meeting day changed and I couldn’t attend anymore. For me, it’s all about the people—the format isn’t as important. It’s the relationships, the conversations, and how I feel within the community that matter most.

I prefer not to commit to anything weekly, as that type of networking doesn’t really suit me. I also believe it’s beneficial to be part of several groups, as the variety is important and depends on the nature of your business.

WHAT DO YOU THINK SETS PINK LINK APART FROM OTHER GROUPS?

I’m actively involved with the Lancaster and Kendal groups, and what stands out for me is the energy, the strong sense of community, and the authenticity of the women in these groups. The positivity is uplifting – it really boosts you.

For me, going to a place where I feel like I’m among friends is incredibly important, especially because of the unique nature of my business and the personal journey I’ve been through to get here. Being welcomed and embraced in a community like Pink Link is significant for me, and it has absolutely provided that 100%. I have a strong intuitive sense of where I belong, and Pink Link feels like the right place.

I also believe there’s real value in women-only groups, especially when the attitude is supportive and genuine. In our groups, no one has to pretend – it’s a space where authenticity is encouraged, and the support and positivity are truly remarkable.

WHAT HAS BEEN THE IMPACT OF BEING A MEMBER OF PINK LINK

It’s been fantastic for me. I really value people with integrity, and I’ve had the pleasure of working with Coral delivering peer-to-peer programmes for Pink Link. I always remember where my work comes from, and when someone recommends you, it’s truly an honour. I’ve gained a lot of business through Pink Link.

I also run two Pink Link groups and have received business from them, even though I sometimes forget to do my own pitch! But I think that’s because people are getting to know me, and it’s giving me more visibility.

I genuinely appreciate the women who choose to give their time to our group. In recent years, the number of networking options has grown so much, so the fact that members continue to spend their time with Pink Link is a brilliant testament. I’m building stronger relationships with these incredible women and getting to know them more deeply.

HAVE YOU BEEN TO ANY OF THE EVENTS?

I’ve attended many events including the Pink Link Summer Regional Lancashire event where I introduced Jen Grange, the Glass Walker and Theresa Gibson, the Sound Therapy team to Coral. Coral is always so thoughtful about finding new opportunities and bringing unique experiences to everyone, and she really excels at that. It was a fantastic day, and I think everyone truly enjoyed the experience.

HAVE YOU ENTERED THE EVAS?

I have been a finalist. I went in for it, although I was so early in my journey, and in what has now come to pass in my business and is going to happen in the future, that I realise I wasn’t in the right place at all. Having now been a judge I would completely change how I presented myself.

The calibre of candidates has increased enormously and that’s really exciting to see. I think Coral has done an incredible job, it’s now the biggest female business awards in the country which is just phenomenal

The time it takes to build up a reputation, you can’t run one event and have a reputation. It’s continuous improvement, continuously building relationships and the sponsorships. Coral goes by her word and puts so much effort in. Coral genuinely cares about raising the profile of women’s businesses.
