New Venues for Pink Link Cumbria
As the new year starts Pink Link women in business network is holding a series of monthly face to face events at two fabulous new venues. The Castle Green Hotel in Kendal and the Cumbria Innovations Platform at the University of Cumbria in Carlisle. Easily accessible and conveniently located, there will be plenty of opportunities to connect and build relationships with like-minded women that will help business growth.

Local entrepreneur and professional networker, Gwen Backhouse will be taking over as host of the Carlisle and Kendal networking meetings. With a wealth of knowledge and connections, she will ensure you will receive a warm welcome and a positive experience. Women starting a business or scaling up are invited to meet fellow entrepreneurs. They will discuss business issues, gain valuable knowledge, and explore opportunities that will help them grow personally and professionally.

Coral Horn, founder of Pink Link said “We’re delighted to be working with Gwen. She is a natural networker, welcoming women and helping them to build a strong supportive and proactive business community. After three amazing years, helping to build the Pink Link groups in the county Alison Magee-Barker is stepping down to concentrate on her own business, AJ Lakes as it scales up. This won’t be the last you see of Alison at Pink Link, she has been a wonderful ambassador for what we do and for female entrepreneurs all over Cumbria. She will be at many of our events in the future and we wish her the very best of luck.
Being an entrepreneur can be lonely and overwhelming, so it’s essential to have a community of women who share your aspirations, either as an online or committed group of peers. In addition to the in-person events, there will be a Topic and Talk online networking event where each month there will be a deep dive into a hot topic as well as providing a platform to expand brand awareness.
These events are free for members and visitors are welcome at £20 per face to face session and £12 for the online events.
