An Introduction to the Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals Charity
This charity plays an important role in the Warrington and Halton community. The funds that the Warrington and Halton Teaching hospitals Charity (WHH Charity) raises go towards improving patients – and their families – experiences. Supplying those additional comforts and care that are not covered by the financially stretched NHS which can make all the difference, emotionally and physically.
How Covid Affected Us
Our immediate response to Covid-19 was to swing our entire charitable team’s focus. From fundraising to supporting our patients, our staff, our volunteers AND our wider healthcare community through the pandemic.
Wave one we had been overwhelmed by the support and generosity of our community and wanted to channel this in the right way. Although the following waves have not seen the same intensity, we still receive a lot of kindness.
What We Do… and How you Can Get involved
With the support of our many, many donors and fundraisers we raise money to enhance our patients’ overall experience:
- to improve patient environments
- fund additional equipment or facilities
- provide important complimentary services
We can only continue our work by gaining the support of our local communities. Our mission is to create as many different ways as possible to forge new partnerships and involve our supporters in ways that best suit them. We need your help! Listed below are some ways that you can get involved.
